Best 4 eco-accommodation in Bali

Bali Zen Hideaway Couple Sunrise Bed

As you might know already, Bali is one of our favorite places in the world and like a second home for us. One of the things we love about this Island is that there is such a fantastic choice of eco-accommodation where you can stay surrounded by nature and live sustainably. There is nothing more relaxing than waking up with the sound and smell of the jungle. Bali is famous for these amazing open space bamboo villas, and in this blog post, we share our favorite eco-accommodation to stay in different areas of Bali.

Hay House at Hideout – eco-accommodation in East Bali

One of our favorite eco places to stay is the Hay House from Hideout Bali. Which is run by a lovely Balinese family. What could be more sustainable than a tiny house?

This cute cabin is surrounded by jungle and ricefields and lies around 5 min by walking from the other Hideout Villas. The walls are transparent so you will be able to watch the sunrise from bed. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones we ever slept in and there are an outdoor shower and a little toilet as well. Besides you have plenty of space outdoors to relax and enjoy your time. Delicious breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed at the Hideout Restaurant.

Be aware that all kinds of animals can come inside so you really have to enjoy sharing your place with your surroundings. We had frogs visiting us in the evening and the super cute Hideout dogs in the morning.

Bird Hills Bamboo House – eco-accommodation in Sideman

Birdhills is one of the newer additions to Balis bamboo villas, and this one is more off the beaten path, which makes it even more of an adventure to stay here. It is a single private villa which is run by super sweet locals who will make you feel at home immediately. The best thing about the bird hills bamboo house is the view, especially at sunrise.

The villa has a big balcony and a garden with a hammock. There is one bedroom with a huge and comfortable bed, and an outdoor bathroom and kitchen. The staff can order food for you if you like, and breakfast is included.

Camaya Bamboo Villas – eco-accommodation in East Bali

Well if you ever looked for a bamboo house in Bali you must have stumbled across the Camaya Bali. It’s the most famous and luxurious eco-accommodation to stay with a hanging net in the second floor to watch the sunrise, two large beds so you can bring your friends, a whirlpool, an outdoor shower, a big kitchen and seating area, a hammock, and the most incredible view over Balinese rice fields and jungle.

The lovely family who runs this place takes good care of you and will bring you a very delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the villa if you like. Meanwhile, they have several different villas to stay at. The first one and where we stayed is called Suboya.

Zen Hideaway – eco-accommodation in Ubud Bali

This place is one of the highlights of the many places we could stay during our time in Bali. The Zen Hideaway offers three open space houses with a kitchen and outdoor showers.  These buildings are 150 years old and are designed with a Japanese flair. We love how this place embodies a minimalistic lifestyle.
The highlight is their incredible swing which can be used by all guests. To swing here at sunrise was one of the very magical moments we could experience in Bali.
