The Kip Sri Lanka – Boho Hideaway in Ahangama

The Kip Ahangama Couple Patio

When we first found The Kip Sri Lanka on Airbnb, we immediately knew that we want to visit this place during our time in Sri Lanka, and we are so happy we did. It was the most beautiful house we stayed in, and the days we spent there were so relaxing and exactly what we needed.

The hosts are Pheobe and Seddy, two beautiful souls with a fantastic taste for interior decoration. We felt totally at home at their beautiful house because these two are so hospitable.

The Space

The courtyard, garden, and all the rooms are furnished with bohemian style interior what we love. The Kip Sri Lanka is such a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing place. During the day, from 10 am to 2 pm, they offer brunch in the garden, which is open to everyone. After that, only guests can access the garden. We loved that mix.

Slow Lifestyle

The breakfast at the Kip Sri Lanka is prepared with a lot of love and served at one big table in the courtyard. We loved it having breakfast with all the other guests at one table and having a chat in the morning.

But the one thing that we loved most about this place is the sustainable lifestyle of the couple. You can immediately feel their slow and sustainable thinking as soon as you arrive at the Kip. We love to meet likeminded people that support local and ethical businesses and who care for the planet as much as we do.

They served a lot of delicious vegan food options like the yummiest vegan cheese or some plant-based milk options for your muesli in the morning. Our favorite was the cashew iced latte, which we enjoyed every morning.

Besides, you will find a cute little shop in the house with only sustainable and ethical produced goods from local artisans and Australian brands.

And did we mention that the hammock of our dreams hangs in their lovely garden? We could have spent the day there!

The Location

The Kip Sri Lanka is located in Ahangama, which is the perfect area for surfing and to discover some cute little beaches. One of our favorite beaches, where we spent a lot of our time in Ahangama, was only a 5 min walk from the house. We usually had it entirely to ourselves. Sometimes we shared it with some locals taking a bath. It was so relaxing there, and we loved to enjoy sunsets and as well sunrises at this beautiful place.

Overall the perfect place to spend some relaxing days in the south of Sri Lanka with some lovely people. We’ll definitely be back, guys! Thanks for these beautiful days.
